Got scammed

Applied for a house for rent paid $70 application fee. Got an approval email from Zillow come to find out that particular house has been sold two years ago was not for rent and some scammer. Got my money and Zillow still hasnt contacted me about the situation, so yeah, pretty sure that I will not recommend Zillow and that it must be easy just to pick a house and make a fraudulent email with all of Zillow criteria and I mean down to unsubscribe if you would like and it also allowed me to download the app and it would take me to my new lease and yeah, it was all a scam but yet Zillow will not return my emails and there isnt a phone number to call to find out the situation

When people falsely flag your listing you have to wait days for email back and forth. The customer service line is for premiere members only.

I did receive a message from Pissed Consumer about “The owner and property manager more than likely advertised on other sites besides Zillow.THEY are the problem. Zillow has no control over an owner not responding.” The truth is Zillow let certain managers & owners advertise any home or apartment on their website and when it comes down to it consumers are getting the run around when they want to view an apartment. So Zillow doesn’t really care. I don’t know if Zillow has a Customer Service complaint number where that person can call and express their frustrations about any problems they’re having so it can be resolved. So no offense to Zillow or Pissed Consumer. That’s just my opinion. Thank you for your time.

They have my home at 1996 Shannons Cove Miramar Beach FL devaluated $400,000+ and having been sold in March of 2024. We have owned the property since October of 2015.. I checked with Walton County Tax Assessor and we are still
Iisted as the owners. No indication of “Sold” in 03/24.
The $400,000 one day drop and the sale is SO incorrect!
